IVFC Community Fund Grants are Now Available!

Your 5cent "reuse/bring a bag" tokens have added up, and we have accrued enough money into our Community Fund to begin the Grant Application process for 2009! Click here to download the application. Please read the application thoroughly before submitting, as there are several components. The Co-op Has a Bus Stop!

As of today, SBMTD has redesigned Line 27 to run through downtown Isla Vista. The Hybrid-Electric Shuttle is stopping right in front of the Co-op! Now you can ride the 24x from downtown and hop on the shuttle (free transfer) and be dropped at our door. WOO-HOO!!!

Come by the Co-op to check out Straus Creamery glass-bottle non-homogenized milk (there's cream at the top, which is a unique feature of milk in this day and age) yogurts, and ice cream. This is Michael Pollan's recent article about the culture of cooking in America (sort of reflecting on the influence of pop culture more than anything else). A great read, especially if you grew up with Julia Child on your television (or are just mesmerized by all things food). Check it out!
