COVID positive case


To Our Valued Co-op Community:

Thank you for supporting us during these uncertain times.  As a mission and values-driven community-owned entity, we value transparency and information sharing on the highest level.

Yesterday we received the news that a worker has tested positive for COVID-19.  This worker was not experiencing symptoms while at work, and through their diligence in understanding COVID symptoms and following our self-check protocols, called in sick immediately and has already been quarantining and out of the Co-op for 9 days.   They are already on the mend! 

As per CDC requirements and our in-store positive test protocol, our HR Manager immediately notified the SB County Department of Public Health to report the case.  The Health Department feels that the Co-op is acting with thorough diligence and taking all correct steps to ensure the highest levels of health and safety through the Co-op.  

Even with the smaller footprint of our store, we have been very pro-active in minimizing worker contact, maintaining our 6 feet distances as best possible while working in our small spaces,  wearing masks, and sanitizing all areas of the Co-op where workers and customers access.  

We take pride in our commitment to the safety of our store, and will continue to review and adapt our standards to best serve our community.

For those in our community that feel most comfortable not going into grocery stores right now, Co-op Curbside is open Tuesday-Saturday for online shopping and contactless grocery pickup.
